The teams I mentioned on Sunday all won and covered, that figures. Missouri by 10, Ohio by 55 and Michigan by 22. Memphis plays MTSU tonight and are favored by 44.5. I mistakenly had them playing on Sunday. Montana and St. Louis both play tonight and may have to take a look at both. Central Arkansas would probably beat APBluff by 30 so they are no slouch. If St. Louis make make threes and free throws they can beat anyone. The play tonight has to be Iowa. They are loaded and experienced. The only way North Carolina can beat them is if they can make a bunch of threes and so far this year that is a weakness for them. Iowa’s offense is as good as Gonzaga’s, their defense is a little suspect. NC is all over the place and has yet to establish anything except athleticism in this young season. I’ll back a veteran offensive team to outscore a young inexperienced team. 89-79

  2. No official plays today, in that rut where I like three or four games but pick the one that loses. I may have to change my early season strategy. St. Louis and Mizzou look awfully good. I will ride both until they let me down and Michigan and Ohio look awfully tempting today. Can’t believe Montana lost two straight games to the same team by one point after leading the entire second half. Also, Memphis is a 42 point favorite tonight over MVSU, the 30+ favorites yesterday were 2-0. Just some food for thought.

Bad pick on Wisconsin yesterday as Georgia State and Oregon are coming off of upset losses and both win easily. Let’s see if we can do better today with Montana. This is a crazy year and a lot of conferences are playing “doubleheaders”. This means a team will play on the road against the same team twice to eliminate travel. This is the case with Montana who just lost to Southern Utah on Thursday by one point. They are playing again today at SU again. Montana doesn’t want to go 0-3 and especially 0-2 in conference. I think they’ll rebound today. SLU should cover the 32 point spread against Ark Pine Bluff but I’ve seen SLU play down to bad teams before so I’ll lay off. APB is really awful though.

Almost made a play on Iowa -32 yesterday but when they were only leading by 16 with ten minutes to play I was glad I didn’t. But basketball is a funny game and Iowa goes on 38-10 run after that and wins by 44. Oh well, a lot of big spreads today and I’m sure a lot will cover but I’m going to a rivalry game where one team is just so much better than the other. I know Marquette is at home but not sure that matters much these days. Wisconsin brought back everyone and starts five seniors who play great together. Marquette lost all their stars from last year and I don’t see how they can stick with Wisconsin.

  5. 1* Rhode Island +2 #674 6:00

Seton Hall has lost too much and Rhode Island keeps getting better. A-10 is really strong this year.

  6. 1* SMU -32 #307210 7:00

SMU won’t let up like Arizona State did the other night, 110-65 final. May have more later, this spread will only go up. It has already gone up a point since this morning.
