No Official plays tonight:
Am going back to that Sun Bowl tournament and taking a small play on Kent state and a money line play on UTEP (That’s mainly a play against Irvine and UTEP is playing at home) so a bounce back for Kent and a letdown for Irvine. Going to SLU game tonight, the outlaw line on game is SLU -41.5 with the O/U at 139.5. It’s actually an exhibition game for Maryville.

When the Vegas line drops 4 points in the last two hours before game time you know something is fishy as was the case yesterday. Our second bad beat of the season (the first was the 35 foot running three pointer at the buzzer by Murray state back on Dec 3) and although I could have pulled the bet back before game time I didn’t think that was the right thing to do after it was posted. Cole Anthony who is the heart and soul of NC suffered a strange knee injury before the game. He is their point guard who runs the show and averages 20 points a game. Anyone who can move the line four points is pretty damn important. At least I was right on Okie State who pulled the upset being an underdog. And to make matters worse the Redskins +7 was my big NFL play who had the game and spread well in hand for 59 minutes and 59 seconds of game time, that was really a bad beat. Nothing stands out tonight but I am going to back Kent State on the money line tonight -135 in a neutral site game as a small play. They are playing Cal -Irvine and I just think Kent is a much better team. Cal Irvine was good last year and they are still living off those laurels in the vegas spread. I also like Santa Barbara -5 if their best player plays. He has missed the last four games with a concussion and he is 50/50 tonight. That game doesn’t start until 8:30 . If I can find out if he is playing I may post that play.

Just announced that NC’s top scorer is out for today’s game. Line has dropped 4 points to 11.5.
1* North Carolina -15 #792 starts at 3:00
Come on, NC has lost two in a row and now gets to play at home after finals against a weak Wofford team. This Wofford team is feeling good after winning four in a row against a bunch of nobodies but NC will be licking their chops and will put it all together this afternoon. Also will probably go with Oklahoma State at +7 against Houston as a small play. Getting good value here as Houston isn’t that good and Okie has lost two in a row.
1* Arizona State -4 #746 starts at 7:00
Tough spot for Georgia here as they are playing their first true road game. They have lost to Dayton by 19 and have beaten Chaminade by only three points in tournament games and have beaten up cupcakes at home. Georgia has two good players and that’s about it. Arizona State has lost to Virginia by three and has played a much tougher schedule. They should win and cover this small number at home. If you are looking for a blowout game you may want to look at Boise State -19 at home against Alabama State. Boise is coming off a loss and Alabama State is awful. This game starts at 5:00.
1* BYU -7 #618 starts at 8:00 ESPNU
I bet this at 7.5 buying my half point, some places are at 8 but BYU should take care of either number. There is a reason the spread is high and at first glance one would think to jump on Nevada plus the points. But….. BYU has played one of the toughest schedules so far playing San Diego State, Houston, Boise, Ucla, Kansas, Va Tech, and Utah. Their best player was suspended the first part of the season but still managed to beat UCLA by 15. The have had this game circled for a long time having lost to Nevada last year. This Nevada team lost five of their top six scorers, including their top three and have lost to the only three decent teams they have played, Utah, USC and Davidson. Nevada is feeling good having won five in a row but the best team out of those five opponents was Bowling Green . This is their second straight game on the road and it wont be pretty. I expect an easy double digit victory by BYU. I also like Boston College tonight -7 but not an official play because they just upset Notre Dame at west bend. They take on Albany at home tonight and unless they have a massive letdown they should win easily.
