1* FIU +6 #306061 6:00 ( This year FIU is putting it all together but they stumbled at E. Michigan last game. Jax St. is usually very good but they haven’t played real good so far. FIU should keep it close and may win.
Well, 4-3 on the one stars and 6-1 on the added bets, so 10-4 on the night. Just wish I would have reversed them. On the three losses some interesting things stand out. After Furman hits 8-15 from three in first half and 78 points were scored, they shoot 2-18 from three in second half to keep the game under. Monmouth (who now have covered every game and 11 straight) goes 29-33 from foul line-88% as Yale’s fg percentage was much better but lost the game at the foul line. Houston had an 18 pt halftime lead despite going 1-12 from three. You would think they would shoot better in second half but no, they finished 2-21 and played uninspired basketball. Also taking Mississippi, Morehead state, Oregon, Washington state, SEMO, and Howard.

Go big or go home, bet all these games last night evenly. I’m sure some of the lines will be different throughout day today. Smaller wagers on Duke, Cincinnati, Texas, La Monroe, Sam Houston St, Louisville, and Tenn Martin.

Last Saturday went 6-20 on college basketball, just an awful day. Yesterday’s trial run on my bible system had an epic result . My “bet on” teams went 11-1 which were NDame, Tenn, Okla, SDak St, UConn, St Marys, Utah St, Kansas, Norfolk St and SLU. And my” bet against” teams went 10-4. That’s 21-5 on the day and add Navy and under and the Blues -1.5 and that was a pretty nice day. All of the “bet on” teams had lost their previous game except Kansas. Florida State has lost their last two while South Carolina just had a big home win against G-Town. This game is not being played on S.Car home court, though considered a home game . Northeastern has won three home games in a row against mediocre competition. Davidson has played well all season and talent should take over here. Also betting Purdue to bounce back although line is up to 15.
Can’t seem to pick a loser today but I will not post my best bet of the day SLU -8 for if I do they are sure not to cover. Boston College coming off a huge win over Notre Dame at home and SLU line keeps going up. Doesn’t make much sense so that means SLU will win easily. Can’t imagine losing three straight home games. Had a pretty good handle on games this week and Kansas -13 first half today over Mizzou was a gift. Today was a test run and so far so good. The only problem we may have is with emails, especially on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll see if this email is delivered promptly. If not tomorrow, then early next week to get rolling with picks again.
In the past, Travis’ Ford’s teams have sometimes played down to weaker competition but have always risen to the occasion against good teams, especially at home. Well not any more as the last fifteen minutes of last night’s game looked like they had no clue offensively or defensively. It was one on one basketball on offense and back door cut after back door cut on defense. At least Ford took the blame after the game. The best part was when Ford’s assistant coach got into it with Belmont’s coaches for calling a time out with 2.4 seconds left up by five. I do good on my “also bet” plays as mizzou goes way under the number. Tonight Cornell goes for their 8th straight cover as a 19 pt dog to Virginia Tech. Cornell averages over 90 a game and has the quickest average shot attempt per possession of any team at under ten seconds. I bet them along with Southern Utah-4 last night and over 140 in the SIU-ed-IPFW game. Florida is a 26 point fav over North Florida after their embarrassing home loss to Texas Southern as a 22 point fav. They should cover that tonight but won’t have many official plays until conferences start unless I get a good situation like St. Louis last night. Ha! Also, having some issues with the email getting out promptly so you may want to just check around 5:30 to see if I post anything.
