Got lucky last night to go 1-1 as Stanford fouls on purpose up three with 5 seconds to play. Luckily, arizona player misses the first one and has to intentionally miss the second one, so it worked out. Should have never been that close as stanford missed a bunch of free throws. Georgia looked like gangbusters and blew away Cinci in first half. Cinci, however cashed easily in second half at -1. I am putting a small wager on Houston -33 at 3:00. Alcorn has only played one game and lost by 49 to UAB. Houston hasn’t played a game since Dec.5 but they have beaten Texas Tech this year. Surprisingly there are pretty many games for a Christmas week and the Big 10 has 4 games on Christmas day. Should have a play on Monday and Tuesday and we’ll just have to see after that. A lot of afternoon games this week too.

Going against two undefeated teams that have been playing patsies at home. Georgia is still at home but are facing Cincinnati coming off losses to Tennessee and then upset by South Florida. Cinn is just much more talented. Arizona lost 80% of their scoring from last year. They did pick up a couple of transfers but they haven’t blended together yet and this is their first conference game and road test. Stanford has lost to Arizona 20 straight times but they are the better team here with a veteran squad who want this game bad. Always recommend money line on small spreads.

Hard to believe a team can look so bad in the first half and so great in the second but that’s exactly what St. Louis did last night for an impressive win. Tonight we go to the opening of A-10 league play and back the home team Rhode Island who has lost it’s last two games to really good teams, Wisconsin and Western Kentucky on the road. This will be Davidson’s first true road game and the way they win games is by making long shots. But they are much more comfortable at home. Unless Davidson shoots lights out, the home team Rams should prevail and cover the short number. If you can play money lines I would take it -140.

All three teams mentioned yesterday won and covered with Purdue being the most interesting but even covering the 6.5. The Billikens are 5-0 and 5-0 against the spread and we haven’t used them yet. We know how good they are but NC State is yet to be determined. They have big wins over Charleston Southern, North Florida, and UMass Lowell, in other words they haven’t played anyone. They also haven’t played in two weeks. The spread is also indicating that Vegas doesn’t have much faith in NC State either. If SLU comes out strong this game may be over quickly. Let’s hope so.
Can’t get anything definite on Liddell’s availability tonight although the line has jumped from 4.5 to 6.5 which is a pretty good indicator that he is out. His issues are actually non-covid related which means they are not sure what is wrong with him. If he doesn’t play Purdue should win by double digits. In another game of interest Georgia State hosts Mercer in a rematch from a couple weeks ago when we had Georgia State money line and lost big. They are -4.5 tonight, I like them to win and get their revenge, not sure about the 4.5 though.

E.J. Liddell, Ohio State’s leading scorer is very questionable tonight, he missed last game with covid, a game where they squeaked by an awful Cleveland State. If this line goes up then you will know if he is out or not. Purdue can still win this game if he plays because they are the better team especially at home. I will give an update hopefully by 5:00 and let you know for sure. Also Florida Gulf coast just had their biggest win in school history as they won at Miami on Saturday. Tonight they are back home facing Florida International. I think FIU is the play here but since it is at FGC it won’t be a rated play.
