Vermont is the best small conference team around. They have beaten St.John’s and St. Bonaventure and took Virginia down to the wire. They were just upset at home. Today they will take it out on a bad Umass-Lowell team. Evansville beat Kentucky earlier this year but have lost 17 straight games in the Missouri Valley. That is an oddity but today they have one last chance to win a conference game and the line keeps going up. That tells me they get the win and cover today against a bad Illinois state team. Valpo just won their last two games and had a big senior night. they are not a good road team. Indiana state is good at home and are playing with revenge on their senior night. Indiana state rolls here.

Came oh so close to making Gonzaga a 2* play since they have already beaten San Diego by 44 at San Diego. The terreroes are awful and their only 2 league wins have come over Portland who in in last place. Let’s face it, other than Gonzaga, BYU and St. Mary’s, this league is awful. Gonzaga can name their score tonight and after a loss I will be surprised if they don’t win by 40. Let’s call it a 1.95*. Hofstra has won 8 in a row but Towson has won 10 of 13 and rarely loses by more than seven. Hofstra just needs one more victory to wrap up league title but it really doesn’t mean anything because this league will only send it’s tournament winner. I expect a close game tonight.

Not too often we will bet against a team coming off a bad loss but the way Tennessee lost to auburn last Saturday will do more harm than good. Isaiah Joe is back from injury for Arkansas and he was instrumental in their win against Missouri. He averages over 20 a game plus Arkansas lost lost to Tennessee a couple weeks ago. A few other games I’m leaning to are Duquense, VCU, Marquette( would have been a play if G-town’s best player is still out. No word yet, game time decision), Maryland, Florida and Boise state. I would have played Boise but they already beat UNLV already this year. UNLV coming off the big upset win over San Diego State.

Well, the sportsbook at PH had to replenish their empty drawers after our visit last weekend as a number of late game finishes went in our favor, some miraculously. Don’t remember having a team down 54-31 with seven minutes left, (Eastern Illinois) only to come back and win the game on a three at the buzzer. Then on Sunday Northern Iowa gets outscored 23-2 in the last ten minutes of first half to go down 8 and then outscores S. Ill. by 20 in second half to cover. Lots of winners in between , too. Baylor and San Diego st are back in action after their losses but the spreads are large. I’ll go with two teams tonight playing with revenge at home and are playing teams who both just won on the road . Miss state lost their last game and Oklahoma has lost their last three. They both get their revenge tonight. Remember, any team that you lost with in the sportsbook, be sure to come right back and bet them again in their next game, that always seems to work. My hunches tonight are Michigan State, Iowa State and Georgia Tech.

Creighton is on a nice little roll winning 7 out of their last 8 but Marquette has been playing well too and just lost to Villanova by one point on the road. Back home tonight where they have only lost one league game. Markus Howard won’t be stopped tonight and Marquette rolls. A couple of our favorite teams are playing at home tonight too, VCU and West Virginia WV has lost three in a row and VCU has lost 3 of 4. The point spread on the Baylor game keeps coming down,(-3) which leads me to believe they may get beat tonight.
1* Arizona State -5 #853 starts at 5:00
Salvaged a 2-3 day yesterday but on a Saturday I consider that sub-standard. Utah State came through last night as they are red hot. Going with the same situation this evening as the very talented Arizona State has found their mojo and are facing a bad California team. The talent disparity should take care of the five point spread and I expect a double digit win.
