A couple of opinions tonight only so they usually win. Taking, you guessed it, creighton +4 at Marquette and taking Cal Poly -5 at home over a really bad Weber state team, two teams heading in opposite directions. In football, the bowl games started today and the underdogs are off to a great start again covering the first game and covering and winning the second game. 2-0 underdogs, I’ll keep track. 7 bowl games tomorrow.

The Tennessee Maryland game the other night was a brutal display of offense by both teams. This game will be the opposite with lots points and speed. Ucla has only played one true road game and going across country to Maryland will be a tall task. Maryland won’t repeat their awful start in their last game and get the home victory here.

Nice comeback by Maryland yesterday to get the spread win. For those who bet Maryland second half, congrats also, nice double dip. Creighton has now lost four games in a row but they are favored over 9-1 Arizona state. One reason is their all American Ryan Kalkbrennen has been ill and did not play last game and was limited in prior games. All indications are he is ready to go tonight and the point spread reflects that. Let’s hope there is not a late change. He makes that team go and they desperately need a win, we’ll back them tonight.

We will take the points with Maryland on a neutral court today against Tennessee. The Vols are good but have been feasting at home over bad teams. Maryland coming off a division loss at Wisconsin should keep this close and may actually win.

SLU rebounds after bad games and Boise is nothing special. This Arizona-Indiana game is being played in Las Vegas which will benefit Arizona and their well traveled fans. Arizona just has more talent than Indiana who has been feasting at home. The Cats have one of the most dominant big men in the country and should dominate the game. A couple other games of interest: Mizzou is getting a lot of respect from Vegas only being a 3.5 point dog . They can run with anyone but their defense is still suspect. Creighton plays BYU in the other Vegas game. After a torrid start the Bluejays have lost three in a row. Expect them to get well tonight as they should cover the ten point line.

Wisconsin coming off a loss to wake forest and Marquette played the perfect game pummeling Baylor in their last game. We saw Baylor rebound last night in big win against Gonzaga. Expect this to be competitive and we’ll take the points. Billikens should win by double digits today.
