Well Villanova can look great against anyone else other than Marquette who apparently owns them. Tonight we’ll take Grand Canyon at home where they are undefeated and have won all their home games by double digits except one, that being a one point victory over San Fran when they were 5 pt underdogs. GC has lost three road games in a row while Seattle is on a nine game winning streak. But lets look at their opponents: Northwest College, Dixie State, Chicago State, Tarleton State, Sam Houston state, Cal Baptist and 3 more cupcakes. Earlier in the year Seattle’s toughest opponents were Wash State, UNLV, Washington, and VMI. They were soundly defeated by the first three but only lost to VMI by 7. Their schedule has been one of the weakest in D-1. Grand Canyon always has a full house and should win this one by double digits.

Bad stretch continues as Northwestern blows a 24 pt second half lead and St.John’s, after taking the lead with three minutes left, turns the ball over on three straight possessions and falls at home. Notre Dame had their worst shooting night of the season against Duke at home, now travels to Miami who are coming off two big road wins. Wake is really good this year but just lost to syracuse on the road. They are back at home where they dominate weaker teams. Villanova is not going to let Marquette beat them twice, just hope they win by more than four.

Revenge game for ST. John’s and Providence has won 5 in a row and just beat Marquette in a two point revenge win at home. Look for the Jonnies to keep up the pace tonight and get their revenge.
Northwestern -4 #614 6:00
Trying to find and team that may actually play well at home when we bet on them. Northwestern is a good basketball team this year who unfortunately plays in the toughest conference. They have only won one conference game so far and that was a great road win at Michigan State. They lost to wisconsin by six, at Michigan by two and just lost to Illinois by three and led throughout the game. Their opponent, Rutgers, just won on the road by two at Nebraska. This is a game that Northwestern should win and they know it. The line has moved up and down today and is off the board at a couple places, do not know why. I’m sticking with it though hopefully to break the slump. Also took virginia at 5:00, bet it last night at -7 but has gone up to -9 this afternoon.

So disappointing a Saturday, that I neglected to post Bradley and Wash State yesterday who both were circled on my sheet. But after Delaware’s suspended game and not catching any early breaks Saturday, we followed with an awful pick on Kansas so I wasn’t in a good frame of mind come yesterday. By the way in the Big12-SEC challenge on Saturday the home teams were 9-1 straight up and 8-2 ATS with the only home team losing the game and not covering was the pathetic Kansas team. Tonight Oklahoma hosts TCU after losing at Auburn Saturday. This is a talented team who already lost at TCU and TCU is coming off a huge win over LSU. A couple interesting facts tonight: NC Wilmington has won and covered ten games in a row but are only a 1.5 pt fav at home against Drexel. West Virginia has lost five in a row and also ATS and goes to Baylor tonight as a 14 pt dog. Baylor beat them by 9 earlier this year, WVirg will most likely lose by 15.

Two games that come down to the last seconds and neither one went our way . St. Bonny up 16 with a couple minutes to go wins by 11, a push and west virginia stays close all day but ends up loses by 9, one point too many. Kansas has lost only 15 home games in the last 19 years! Kentucky hasn’t played a tough schedule and has lost four times on the road. At first glance getting five points with Kentucky looks pretty good. Why are they getting 5 points? If they are that good line should be lower. I think they get exposed today, may be wrong but Kansas has played more top teams this year and the home crowd will be rockin. Kansas wins going away.
