I’m counting on Kofi Cockburn playing for Illinois. Mich State just beat Wisconsin on the road and Illinois has lost two straight. You will know if the pointspread changes whether he is playing or not, it is -5.5 now. If he doesn’t play, it will go down. Baylor is back to playing Baylor basketball and after two big wins K-State just lost a heartbreaker to rival Kansas. They won’t have anything left in the tank for this game.

NC just lost by 28 at Miami and lost by 22 at wake Forest. But at home they are a different team. They will bounce back tonight over a mediocre Va Tech team. At 5:00 making a small play on Belmont -25 over a pathetic Eastern Illinois team.

Have to take the Billikens here even though it’s a steep price. Remember, UMass had lost four straight before their upset over STL. They are not very good but could not miss against Billikens. It was a track meet up there but won’t be here if STL expects to win. I expect a much slower pace and better defense The o/u has come down from 152.5 to 150 which is a good sign. Made a small play on Purdue at noon after their defeat at Indiana but NWestern seems to always be in the game.

Have to love big second halves. Thank you Auburn and Creighton. Too bad Georgia State was 3-28 from three point, can’t win many games shooting like that. One more for the road tonight and this goes against all my theories. Ucla just won on the road at Utah and they already beat Colorado badly in their first game at UCLA. Colorado just lost at home to USC. Everything points to taking the Buffs here but the talent gap is just too much. Colorado will have to play a perfect game just to keep this close. They are too young a ballclub to pull off this upset.

Now I know why I normally don’t watch first halves because they mean nothing. Auburn looked out of sorts and Kentucky looked really good but in the second half the tables turned and great foul shooting gave Auburn the easy victory and our two star win. Creighton doesn’t have the team this year as in the past but they are money at home. Depaul is coming off a brutal one point loss to Xavier and they are a bad road team.

132 games today and we step it up with a two star play. Auburn has won 14 in a row and covered 7 in a row. Their closest game at home this year was a 12 point win over Florida. They have been waiting for this game all year. Kentucky has been pretty good but they have lost at Notre Dame and at LSU. They just won at Texas A@M by six. I fully expect a dominant performance by Auburn today . I usually just tune in to the second half of most games but I’ll set my alarm for this one and try to watch the whole thing. In other games Rutgers just beat Iowa at home and goes on the road to Minnesota who has lost 4 straight to Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, and Indiana. That is a tough stretch. They will win today. West Virginia has lost two straight but plays a style that will bode well at Texas Tech. Georgia State just has to win today, hopefully by five or more. Also like Duke and Villanova early both coming off bad losses.
