1* Nevada money line -120 #894 10:00
Kicking myself for not taking Indiana last night after Purdue’s big win at Illinois. Illinois plays at Maryland tonight who has lost 5 out of last 6 but spread dropped from -7.5 to -4 this morning and I can’t figure out why it dropped so much. Anyway, coming back with Nevada as they host Fresno State who has won three straight including a big home win over Utah State in their last game. Spread opened as fresno being a 1.5 favorite but now has reversed to Nevada being a 1.5 favorite . Good spot here for Nevada
1* Georgia State -6 #752 6:00
Not sure if Florida played well in second half or Mississippi State played bad. The bulldogs only score two points in a six minute stretch toward the end so that was a factor. Doesn’t matter how, but Florida remarkably covered the spread despite being down 7 with seven minutes left. There are a ton of games tonight but not many fit my system but Georgia State does. As the favorite to win their conference they sit at 0-2 losing both on the road. Look for them to break out tonight against App state who just beat Coastal Carolina twice, the last of which was on the road. The pointspread has risen two full points since last night so Georgia State is the “right” side to be on.
Colin Castleton, arguably Florida’s best player, was announced as not playing tonight ten minutes before tip-off. Going to be a tall order for Florida without him. Line dropped three points right before tipoff. Sorry about that but it happens sometime. If Florida can hit their threes they may be able to pull it off but they are down now.

Florida has lost their last two home games. Tonight they host Mississippi State who doesn’t fare well on the road and is coming off an emotional win over Alabama. Big letdown here and Florida should prevail by double digits.
Baylor -6 #603 4:00 (note early start time)
Well, here we have Baylor again who just played an awful game and have lost two straight at home. Now they face West Virginia who, even at this point of the season, we’re not sure how good this team is. They are undefeated at home with their best wins over K-State and Okla State. But they have been pummeled on the road by 15 at Texas and their last game by 26 by Kansas. Wyoming proved to be legit last night, let’s hope West Virginia isn’t in that category. The o/u is 138 which seems to be high with both teams stressing defense. That may be good for Baylor who needs their offense to click tonight. Have to admit my confidence level is not real high on this one but maybe that’s a good thing.

A full slate of games today and the best one starts at 11:00am between Purdue and Iowa. That’s too tough a call. We’ll go to a later game where Wyoming is coming off a big upset win at Utah State. They have played well and are 12-2 on the year. But they are going to have to prove their worth and back to back upsets on the road doesn’t seem likely to me . We’ll take an improving Nevada team here at the low price which I expect to rise through the day.
