This game starts at 4:00 on FS1. Last night a talented Tennessee team finds a way to win and flirt with a cover but fails. Poor shooting in first half and Arkansas’ ability to make threes at keys points was the difference. Oregon has been rolling at home and is coming off a big win over Stanford. Colorado is coming home after five straight road games. This team is great at home . Line has inched up as I bet money line last night -140 (now -165). Still think they should get the win and cover the three points.

Have to get on this one early. Line will only go up. The Vols can’t possibly play as poorly as they did against Alabama and they are back on their home floor against an Arkansas team which looked totally lost against Mizzou. The reason being without their stud forward Justin Smith who is out three weeks with a bad ankle. Tennessee will win easily if they take advantage of their size inside.

Looking for a big bounce back game tonight after Kansas’ 25 point home loss to Texas. Most places are -6 now, bet it earlier at 5.5 buying half point. TCU has played pretty good this year but this will be a tall task to keep it close at the end. Sunday’s back to back games went 9-5, and 3-0 so far today in afternoon games, still very profitable. San Diego State blew a 25 point lead to Colorado State on Sunday and lost. Played them again last night and spread went from 6.5 to 9 at game time. It scared me off (mistake) and they won easily by 13 and led big throughout. You should never let a pointspread scare you off of a good situational game. Also a lean on Kentucky tonight as they are playing better and getting good value at only -11 against a bad Vandy team. Can Mizzou win consecutive road games?

Nice day yesterday as results of both games were as expected. There were 21 back to back games yesterday against same team at same location and the team who didn’t cover the day before went 15-6 the following day. This is a trend that seems to work. Today there are 13 more, I will keep track.(so far 5-2) Two examples of why previous day scores mean nothing: Friday scores: Wright State 90 Oakland 51 and Boise state 106 San Jose State 54. Saturday scores Oakland 81 Wright State 71 and Boise State 87 San Jose State 86. Wright state was an 11 point favorite and Boise was a 27 point favorite. You are getting a lot of value in pointspread on that second day , too.

Ditto from yesterday. Despite playing awful (36% shooting, 21% from three, 58% FT) Utep still had a seven point lead with 50 seconds remaining. didn’t score again, went to over time and lost being outscored 21-6 from that 50 second mark. In this strange season they play again today and I expect a much different result. Over 100 games today and a lot of back to back games. A little overwhelming and the spreads are pretty accurate now so we will start looking closely at recent results. Case in point, Mizzou, who looked awful against Tennessee and looked good today. Also looking at Abilene Christian -12 at 3:00 . This line has come down for some reason so won’t make it an official play but they are the class of the league by far.

Normally don’t like to give points on the road but this one is attractive. Utep is pretty good having lost to St.Mary’s by 12 , Arizona by 8 and beat Arizona State by 13 all on the road. S Mississippi is just bad, losing to Jacksonville by 15 and Tulane by 20 and beating four cupcakes. Talent level here is too great to pass up even if we have to lay points on the road.
